This Privacy Policy applies to the Lovable → Next.js Chrome extension ("the Extension"), published by CJ Singh via Indie Kit. It describes how the Extension handles information when you use it on lovable.dev.
The short version
- We do not store your Lovable project code.
- We do not run a server that receives your exports.
- Export happens entirely in your browser. The ZIP file is saved to your computer.
- Your Lovable login session stays between you and Lovable. The Extension only reuses it locally to download files you already have access to.
What the Extension does
When you click Export, the Extension reads your project file list from Lovable's API (using the same authentication as your logged-in Lovable tab), fetches those files, bundles them with migration tooling into a ZIP, and triggers a download on your device. That process runs on your machine. We do not upload the ZIP or its contents to Indie Kit servers or any third-party storage we operate.
Information we do not collect
The Extension is designed not to collect:
- Your Lovable source code or project files
- Your Lovable password or long-lived auth tokens on our servers
- Personal data from your exported projects
- Analytics tied to your identity or project contents
Information that stays on your system
- Session context: While the Extension is active on a Lovable tab, it may temporarily use authorization headers from that tab's network activity solely to call Lovable's API and download your files. This data remains in browser memory and is not transmitted to us.
- Downloaded ZIP: Saved wherever your browser stores downloads, entirely under your control.
Third-party services
The Extension interacts only with lovable.dev and api.lovable.dev to perform exports. It does not send your project data to other third parties. Links in the Extension UI (e.g. Cursor install, Indie Kit docs, creator social profiles) open those sites in your browser under their own policies.
Lovable's handling of your account and data is governed by Lovable's policies, not this document.
Website pages (indiekit.pro)
This policy covers the Extension. General website analytics, cookies, and account data on indiekit.pro are covered by our main Indie Kit Privacy Policy.
Children
The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
